This project combines the whimsical charm of BarkBox with the iconic characters of the X-Men universe. The goal was to create an engaging experience that resonates with both pet owners and fans of the beloved X-Men franchise. Through extensive research, ideation, and execution, the final product blends creativity and functionality to deliver an immersive themed experience.

The challenge was to design a themed BarkBox experience that paid homage to the X-Men while maintaining BarkBox's playful and innovative branding. The project required developing toy designs, packaging concepts, and an integrated web interface.

Process

Concept Development

  • Immersed in both X-Men and BarkBox aesthetics to strike a perfect balance.

  • Researched and brainstormed designs inspired by iconic X-Men characters.

  • Utilized Procreate to sketch ideas, iterating based on style and functionality.

Toy Design

  • Created sketches and mockups for toy designs featuring X-Men characters such as Beast, Wolverine, and Rogue.

  • Focused on designs that appeal to pets while incorporating recognizable character traits.

Packaging Design

  • Designed bold and engaging packaging, reflecting the X-Men's dynamic energy.

  • Developed thematic monthly box concepts, including custom snack packaging like “Beast Treats.”

Website Concept

The website was designed to immerse users in the BarkBox X-Men collaboration through vibrant visuals, intuitive navigation, and engaging storytelling.

  • A bold hero banner highlights the themed BarkBox, complete with toys and packaging.

  • Product pages feature detailed descriptions and interactive elements, like 360-degree views, to showcase the designs.

  • A storytelling section shares the creative process with concept art and final designs.

  • Responsive design ensures seamless browsing across desktop and mobile, with clear CTAs driving subscriptions and purchases.

This design creates a cohesive and exciting online experience that brings the X-Men-themed BarkBox to life.
